From shopping guidance to public statements, and from webpages to video scripts, I keep us clear, grammatically on point, relatable, and informative. Not only do I unite my department in our approach to writing, but I also engage other writers to thoughtfully utilize AI, hone our skills, and increase creativity. I plan and host creativity and AI prompting workshops too!
This is one of four articles I wrote about Native American culture as experienced by some of our associates. Each article required deep dives on tribal history and a series of interviews with subjects – and great sensitivity to the individuals and their stories. One of my favorite writing projects.
This was an emergency rewrite of outdated material because of unexpected leadership change. I consolidated a lengthy introductory letter from our former CEO into a concise welcome page with a focus on company values.
Goal: To celebrate the 100 playgrounds that CarMax and KaBoom! built together, to give this video a fresh take on how we present information, and to make it feel as child-centric as the playground build program itself is.
My Role: I conceived the idea, wrote the script and storyboard, co-directed shots and even filmed some myself. I evaluated our young voiceover talent and co-directed his reading during the recording. Partnership with my video team was key to this success.
Goal: To share information about our 401(k) plan in digestible bites.
My Role: I proposed breaking away from the usual "behind the desk" presentation and had our talent speak to us much in the way we see a bestie talk to us on an Instagram or TikTok reel. I wrote the script, the storyboard, and helped direct.

My Role: I wrote the script, the storyboard, and helped direct, as I did the 401(k) video, and threw in elements to keep the message feeling light and easy to process. My team made three Ask the Expert videos in this style.
